SPSP: 3.6 mln tn handled in H1 2017 (-5% yoy)

Out of the total volume, exports going via the Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg totalled 3.4 mln tn (+8% year-on-year), while imports decreased threefold - down to 0.2 mln tn.

Dry bulk turnover at SPSP was hit the hardest during this year's first half, decreasing by 86% yoy to 75.3 thou. tn, including mineral fertilizers going down by 69% yoy to 8.7 thou. tn, while iron ore was completely transferred out of SPSP. At the same time, pellets gained 55% yoy up to 129 thou. tn.

General cargo traffic marked on the contrary a rise by 5% yoy to a total of 3.4 mln tn. Handlings of ferrous metals advanced by 35% yoy to 2.07 mln tn; non-ferrous contracted by 5% yoy to 738 thou. tn, whereas scrap metal - by 53% yoy to 195 thou. tn.

Container traffic rose in the reported period - up three times to 11.9 thou. TEU (139 thou. tn).
