Last time we wrote of how rail passengers' spiritual lives are being taken care of.

Now, let us introduce to you Terapevt Mudrov, one of the five medical centres operated by Russian Railways. 

This 12 year-old train runs throughout the vast spaces of Siberia, providing the people living far away from cities with treatment in the fields of i.a. ophthalmology, neurology, surgery, or gastroenterology. 

Train doctors can examine a patient using RTG and USG diagnostics, have a well-equipped laboratory, a video-conference room, as well as a car (talk about multimodality!), which considerably extends the range of medical care. 

According to Russian Railways, in the period of 2006-2012 Terapevt Mudrov helped 64 thou. people.
