Port of St. Petersburg: 1,752,854 TEU handled in I-XI 2017 (+9.7% yoy)

Measured in tonnes, the port's containerised freight traffic rose in the reported period by 9.9% year-on-year to a total of nearly 20.91mt.

The turnover of break-bulk increased as well - by 1.5% yoy to 11.68mt. However, the biggest uptick in general cargo handlings was noted in regards to ro-ro traffic - up by 74.8% yoy to 1.13mt. Overall, the amount of general cargo handled at the St. Petersburg port totalled 33.72mt (+8.1% yoy).

With 7.93mt (+18.3% yoy) dry bulk came in second, followed by 6.68mt (+13.6% yoy) of liquids.

In total, the Port of St. Petersburg made 48.61mt (+10.6% yoy) over 2017's 11 months.
