Port of Liepaja: 4.62 mln tn handled in I-VIII 2012 (+49.6% yoy)

The Latvian port marked an increase by 82.6% year-on-year in handlings of dry bulk (1.98 mln tn). General cargo rose by 45.4% to 1.98 mln tn.

Port of Primorsk: 50.72 mln tn handled in I-VIII 2012 (+1.4% yoy)

During the first eight months of 2012, the Russian oil port in Primorsk handled more by 685.3 thou. tn than in the corresponding period of 2011.

Big Port of St. Petersburg: 38.42 mln tn handled in I-VIII 2012 (-2.7% yoy)

The overall drop is a result of decreases in handlings of wet cargo (-16.8% to 8.57 mln tn) and of dry bulk (-12.2% to 4.11 mln tn).

Port of Vysotsk: 7.42 mln tn of oil handled in I-IX 2012 (-2.6% yoy)

The overall decrease during the first nine months of 2012 is a result of a plunge by 20% of diesel fuel (to 1.29 mln tn) via the Lukoil-II terminal.

TransContainer: 1.102 mln TEU carried in I-IX 2012 (+10.2% yoy)

During this year’s first three quarters, the biggest increase year-on-year was recorded in transit traffic – by 262.8% to 70 thou. TEU.

LDz Cargo: 47.26 mln tn carried in I-IX 2012 (+9.4% yoy)

In September 2012 the subsidiary of Latvian Railways marked a slight drop (-1.5% year-on-year) in freight transportation which totalled 4.24 mln tn.

Tallink: 24,204 cargo units carried in IX 2012 (-0.1% yoy)

In September 2012, the minimal decrease in the carriages of cargo units was an effect of a 17.7% year-on-year downturn on the Estonia-Sweden route.

Klaipedos Smelte: 59,967 TEU handled in H1 2012 (-37.9% yoy)

The Lithuanian terminal marked a significant decrease in handlings of 20-foot boxes, from 96,562 TEU in H1 2011 to 59,967 TEU during this half year.

Port of Tallinn: 155,595 TEU handled in I-VIII 2012 (+22% yoy)

On the other hand, non-containerized general cargo (apart from ro-ro) totalled 0.42 mln tn, less by 17.5% year-on-year.

DCT Gdańsk: 646,345 TEU handled in I-IX 2012 (+37.7% yoy)

The Deepwater Container Terminal Gdańsk achieved a rise in every category of container handlings – 20’, 40’, imports, exports as well as total boxes and TEU.
