The latest study on making safe and sound ship recycling economically attractive, suggests that ships must purchase a "ship recycling license" before calling at one of the ports in the European Union.
If adopted, the EU would create another regional solution in a global market, de facto restricting access to its ports and increasing the costs per call. Download PDF
