We often recollect old ideas that should be refreshed because of their educational or marketing values.
Sometimes it is not easy to decide which function is more important like in the case of a postcard from Monfalcone in Italy. It shows how wood was discharged in the port, informs of the city's heavy industries (a shipyard and a power plant in the background) as well as advertises a car manufacturer… Or maybe things are the other way around?
Anyway, the postcard was made in the 1970s by a commercial publisher, not by an industrial entity, and was bought in a souvenir shop. Whatever the case, it was a must-have for any transport collector.
