Godby sells Miranda

The 1999-built ro-ro ship, offering 1,625 lane metres of cargo capacity, will be handed over to its new owners in January 2018.

Till this year's end, Miranda will continue her charter for Stena RoRo and Transfennica.

At the same time, Godby Shipping is looking into the potential of ordering new tonnage, Sjöfartstidningen reports. The company's newbuilds will be most probably bigger than its current largest vessels of 2,155 lm of capacity, Misana and Misida, and will most likely come from a Chinese shipyard. Godby Shipping is currently in talks with clients who could potentially back up the project.
